We had the good fortune of connecting with Bradley Soltis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bradley, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Colossians 3:23 says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” It reminds me that I am working for a greater purpose, not just for a paycheck or to please other people. I should be held to a higher standard in all areas.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Truth Soul Armor is a Christian lifestyle and action sports clothing brand. This year marks 20 years in business which is a hard milestone to achieve this day in age. Southern California is no stranger to clothing brands, even faith-based ones, but I truly feel that there is a lack in this particular niche of the industry. There is a strong lack of product knowledge and, well, good designs. I’ve spent the last 15 years in the action sports and lifestyle clothing industry and aim to produce some of the coolest crossover designs not just specific to the Christian market. Our designs have been sold in nearly all core big box accounts and I want to put us back on the map again.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh geez. To be honest, my wife is a WAY better host than I am! The beauty of Hollywood Hills is that there are so many places to go that are walking distance from where we are. Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard are different every night and you could lose yourself in people watching every day. There’s lots of live music scenes up here. The Jerome Overlook above the Hollywood Bowl is a great spot to feel like the king of the city. Yen Sushi is amazing, as is Yamashiro. Also, the great part about our state is that the entire thing is a beach and I’d recommend any of them to anybody.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I could write an entire book on those that have paved the way in order for me to be where I am at today. As of late, my amazing wife, Jessica has definitely motivated and encouraged me to be the best version of myself on a daily basis. It’s not just the words she speaks, but it’s who she is. She makes me want to be a better person and work hard every day to live the life and lifestyle that we both desire. We both dream big, and she constantly says, “Don’t just talk about it; be about it.” It really challenges me to do things on the spot instead of putting them off until later. In the ever fickle retail industry, we all know the benefits of being first to market so this is always a good aspiration.
