We had the good fortune of connecting with Brigitte and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brigitte, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is, “I go to seek a Great Perhaps” from the book Looking for Alaska by John Green. I came across this book in 2014 when I moved to America and started Highschool. Since then, it stuck with me and motivated me to push for greatness in life. It has shaped me to become more free spirited and to come out of my comfort zone. I was able to break boundaries and push myself to become known to the world and I will not stop until everyone knows my name for creating my own grand legacy. As the years went by, my visions and mindset changed. Because back then, every time I say this quote, It pushed me to do adventurous, epic things by mainly making mind blowing memories. But now, since I got this Business mindset, every time I think about this quote, I connect it to my legacy. It has helped me to really push myself and not giving up on my dreams. My “Great Perhaps” is me inspiring the world and showing people you can have the worst past, but still create the best futures despite the scars you carry with you that stems from your past. To me, that quote is so powerful and it amuses me to know how my life changed after coming across that book.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Having a business mindset and grand visions for the future at a young age is what sets me apart from others. My mind is unique, I know what I want in this life and I don’t ever stop and won’t ever stop until I make my mark on the world. It took a lot of patience and hardwork that got me to this point which wasn’t easy at all. I sacrificed a lot, I always invest eveything into my business because I know one day it’ll all pay off. The greatest lesson I’ve learned is to focus on yourself and your goals and to have PATIENCE. Parties, friends and a good time comes after. Secure your future first. I want everyone to know that none of my success came easy. It was all at a cost due to major sacrifices. I never had a good past and that’s why I fight so hard for a great future. I don’t want people to think I had it easy because believe it or not, I’ve been through worse things than anyone can imagine and everyone closest to me can vouch for that.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to Manhattan. I lived there for 4 years and I felt like I was living in a dream. We’ll go to Times Square and many various Museums that’s located all around Manhattan, for example, The Museum of Sex. Manhattan have the most exotic people I’ve ever met in my life. Their energy and the lifestyle is so surreal. The foods well, I can’t even choose because it consisted of the best foods I’ve ever had in my life.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My supporters from my homeland Trinidad and Tobago and all the other supporters I have from different countries. Thanks to them, it has helped me to gain a lot of recognition and my fellow Trinbagonians deserve a lot of credit. Apart from the many reasons I started my Business, My people from my country is the ones who in the earlies, pushed me to start my Business. After getting recognition on platforms and being featured, they stood behind me and praised my successes which was so heartwarming. I’ll never forget those moments.
