Meet Chandler Kilgore-Parshall & Walker Sayen | Filmmakers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chandler Kilgore-Parshall & Walker Sayen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chandler Kilgore-Parshall, what role has risk played in your life or career?
In these uncertain times, taking risks seems like the last thing anybody wants to be doing right now. From the massive unemployment rate to the spikes of cases, risk seems a bit scary. Amid this crisis, we at TinDragon Media have realized that everybody is taking stock of what matters to them. From relationships to aspirations, we are all thinking about how we better our lives and for the people around us. It feels risky when your way of life has been put on hold and you have to adapt. Everyone is adapting and adjusting, us included. TinDragon has made a more conscious effort in producing social awareness in fields like education and healthcare. Our work becomes less like work and more like contributing to our community. It doesn’t take much to be considerate and selfless. Hopefully when the world gets back to normal, these lessons will become more of the norm in our society.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TinDragon Media is a Millennial-driven production company that brings a youthful perspective in producing informative and entertaining content to the masses. Our team has produced a diverse catalogue of content since the inception of the business. A cooking masterclass for families, video series about college readiness and a mini-doc about a summer camp that is fostering the next generation of female filmmakers. And we are only scratching the surface!
Currently, our company has expanded its production services into animation and podcasting too! Walker and I have been extremely fortunate to have a fully-operational business that can work remotely and maintain a quality of personalized service to our clients. We have to thank the wonderful clients that entrust their stories to us, and the hard-working crew who bring their A-game.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of our go-to places is the Alamo Drafthouse in DTLA! Ever since we attended SXSW in 2019, Walker and I got the full crash course of the Alamo Drafthouse experience! The Alamo delivers a wide selection of indie films that most wouldn’t see along with cult classics and Oscars contenders! And the Cats 2019 Rowdy Screening/Sing-Along. The Alamo Drafthouse is truly a movie-lover’s church. We highly recommend the Chips and Queso!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Walker and I want to send a shoutout to our alma mater, Emerson College. Because of Emerson, we were introduced to many wonderful people who became our friends, our creative collaborators and our clients! TinDragon Media wouldn’t have been a reality if we weren’t connected to a terrific alumni network of professionals that helped us shape our business!
