Decision Makers Series: avoiding decision fatigue by adopting effective habits


There’s a ton of research around how setting habits can help us conserve energy because it reduces the number of decisions we have to make in a day. However, not all habits are created equal and so we’ve asked our community to tell us about the habits they have been most effective for them.

I don’t know what I’d do without my google calendar. I’m a fan of blocking off time to focus on tasks that need to get done. It also helps me stay organized, especially when there’s a lot on my plate. Morning workouts have also been a part of my routine for a while now. The main habit that helped me succeed is PRACTICING!! However, i wouldn’t consider myself as “successful” just yet, but practicing more on my craft as a saxophonist/musician put me in a position to achieve all the goals that would give me the success i desired. I would never practice but thought i was good enough as a performer by just knowing the basics and i definitely wasn’t getting anywhere in my career with that logic.
