We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gina, can you talk us a bit about why you love what you do?
Beau was built upon self love. It’s something that is so needed in today’s society, especially for women. As a curvy female minority, I myself always struggled with self image growing up. Yet, starting the day by putting on a cute pair of undies made me feel like a queen ready to slay the day. I love running this company knowing that my products help women fall in love with themselves a little more when rocking our sexy, luxurious, and trendy styles.

What should our readers know about your business?
There are a handful of underwear brands for women in the e-commerce and subscription based industry, but Beau Undies without a doubt tops them with higher quality designs, convenience, customer service, and affordability. We take pride in the fact that our designs are never basic like some of our competitors. Our trendy designs include high quality lace and various details that really stand out. I am very hands on with the deisgn process and although it can be difficult to get things just right, it’s worth it when customers rave about how much they love them. We also wanted to make sure buying underwear would be as convenient as possible. That’s where our subscription plan came to life. We’ve had our fair share of bumps along the road with operational challenges, and continue to face new issues along with the growth of our business. Overcoming each hurdle has helped the company get to where it’s at today and the growing pains are truly necessary to keep us on an upward path.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have best friends on the east coast and when they visit, eating out and going to the beach is MUST. Living in Los Angeles, we are spoiled with the privilege of having some of the world best foods from all different types of cuisines. From food trucks to gourmet restaurants, we kind of have it all. Other than stuffing our faces with all kinds of trending foods, enjoying the sunshine at the beach is a top priority. We have so many beaches in close proximity to the city and each have something special to provide. From the pier at Santa Monica to the boardwalk at Venice, it’s always a good idea to catch some rays by the waves.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Underwear to me is powerful. A sexy pair of undies can really make me feel like a beautiful goddess and boost my confidence instantly. My love of cute undies and starting an underwear line was a mere fantasy until working with Iris Cherng at Honey Belle. Her influence gave me the confidence to actually pursue starting an underwear brand. Iris is the CEO of Honey Belle, an organic skincare and lifestyle brand that has grown tremendously in the last few years and having personally been involved in its growth early on fueled inspiration for me to start Beau undies. I believe it is pure fate that things circled around to her now being one of my partners and co-owners of Beau.
