We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Starbuck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gina, what do you want your legacy to be?
When feeling into what I want people to remember about me… It’s less about them remembering ME, and more about how I can play a role in helping them to remember themselves. It’s my greatest joy to help people come home to their true divine nature. To connect with their highest truth and understand their sovereignty. If I can do this, it really doesn’t matter to me if they remember me or not, because I am simply a messenger of the divine. It’s taken me a long time to get to this place.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I could write a book on these questions! I will do my best to simplify though… I’m an intuitive guide. I help powerful, empathic women embody their divine truths, so they can activate their gifts and live their lives full of passion, intuition and authenticity. My whole life has been leading me to this work… I had a very successful career as a dancer and choreographer, but always had innate gifts in energetic healing and intuitive insight. Even before my daughter was born, I’d begun studying Reiki, NLP, hypnosis, crystal healing, sound healing and any healing modality that I could. And then, not long after she came along, it became crystal clear that my high calling was to dive deeply into this work and I am SOOOO glad that I did! I am constantly mind blown by the miracles that I get to c0-facilitate AND the miracles that have occurred in my life. (Early postpartum was not easy and this work, in a lot of ways, saved me) Most recently, I’ve come into a soulful business partnership with my dear friend and fellow energetic alchemist, Elyse to create Awake & Soulful. Our mission at Awake & Soulful is to activate women into a deeper connection with their real, authentic selves and to celebrate the expansiveness of both the individual and the collective… With a deep reverence for community, we curate spaces and places for women to grow, heal, let go of limitations and learn to master their unique spiritual gifts. We have a plethora of offerings, including women’s retreats, group healing sessions and courses, a podcast and more! I’d say the biggest lesson that I’d like to share is that there is nothing more powerful than opening yourself up to be a channel for something bigger, whatever that means for you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is an interesting question right now, considering much of LA is still closed because of COVID. Butttt, some of my favorite go tos are the beaches… I love to visit Malibu, and while I’m there, make a stop at Sorenity Rocks (crystal sanctuary and showroom), which is owned by one of my good friends, Lenise Soren. We would most certainly be eating a brunch at Sage Organic Vegan Bistro and a dinner at Suncafe Organic… I love taking classes at Platefit in Studio City. Great vibes, great workout. BE Pilates in Pasadena is excellent as well. We would take a hike up in Glenoaks Canyon and do a Sunday night sound healing at Cultivate Meditation in Atwater village. OHHHHH and Hugo’s Tacos for sure!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have had so many mentors along my journey, and plenty of people who’ve seen the truth in me when I haven’t even been able to see it myself… For now, I will keep the shout out for my daughter Jade. I may have birthed her, but she has birthed me in so many ways! She completely shifted me and changed the trajectory of my life AND my work. I’m so honored to be her mama and so grateful for all that she has taught me! Also, I get to honor Jade’s daddy, Marlon. It’s because of your anchoring that I’ve been able to expand into the soulful work that I’m doing, and in turn, help to enhance so many people’s lives. Thank you!
