How did you come up with the idea for your business?

It takes a lot more than an idea to build a business, but there can’t be a business without the idea. So we asked folks who’ve built wonderful businesses to tell us about how they came up with the idea in the first place.

I was living with a nurse during the Pandemic and we were going to grad school together and working in the ER. We have a love for short form newsletters like Skimm and Morning Brew and always thought that the healthcare community, specifically nurses need content tools and resources delivered in an easily digestible format. I love to read and I love to party so it made sense to host reading parties. But really though, I love taking myself out and reading either at a restaurant or sitting at a bar, but I also don’t handle a lot of noise very well. Read more>>

We came up with Whatever Vineyards after being huge wine fans for many years. We had our honeymoon in Sonoma, CA in 2001 and that’s where our love for wine really blossomed. From there we thought it would be fun to start and/or buy our own vineyard. Read more>>
