We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Smyth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
I do! “You might not always get what you what, but you might just find you get what you need” its from the “Big chill” life is always about timing and letting things flow when they need too! I like how this reflects the eb and flow of life. I like to live my life like this.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a ballet dancer from the Gold Coast Australia, and moved to NYC when I was 17 to dance with the American Ballet Theatre. From there I lived in South Africa for 5 months guesting with a Ballet Company down there. I then joined the prestigious Royal Ballet in London. moved back to the States again and danced with the Joffrey Ballet. I then ventured into the realm of musical theatre where I performed in the production of “An American in Paris” original London cast and then The Australian tour of Billy Elliot the Musical playing Older Billy. I’ve even ventured off into film work where I played the snow Cavalier in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the four Realms and most recently the Elvis movie.

I guess what sets me apart from others is my versatility and my innate desire to branch out and try new things and lots of different things! I use ballet as my base and then branch out from there to attract new and wonderful opportunities to me.

I’m most proud of following my intuition and going for it and never giving up when its really tough!

I got to where I am today by an insane amount of discipline (thanks to ballet) hard work and loving what I do! remembering that one step at a time over time amounts to massive success.

It hasn’t always been easy.. its been more like a rollercoaster big highs and very big lows.. however in those low moments you find growth, expansion, and real learning to life and yourself! Cause when those big moments hit you again! You’re just so insanely appreciative and grateful !!

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are trust your unique journey everyone has there own path and timing. Be patient ! Divine timing is EVERYTHING! trust have faith and follow your own yellow brick road !

I want the world to know about me and my brand /story as someone that has a dream and really does turn that into a reality and be a conduit of hope for others and there hopes and wishes and be like I can do that as well ! I want to share my love and light and wisdom with the world and let everyone know that magic and miracles do exist!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to say my Mom! Her support, love and encouragement from the very beginning! I wouldn’t be where I am today without her unconditional love and support 🙂
