We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Sherif and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adam, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think three vital factors have ultimately brought me to where I am now. Purpose, community, and ambition. No matter what you do in life, you need to have a purpose. Everyone in this industry is here for a reason beyond being famous. I chose this career to incite change and positivity through an artistic medium like storytelling and acting. There is not a day that goes by when I don’t remind myself why I’m in this line of work. And I wouldn’t have gotten here without the people around me. My family, my friends, my co-workers, and even my enemies all helped me get to where I am now. My brand is fully comprised of friends, former colleagues, and even members of my community. Everyone on my team is more than a co-worker, they’re my family. That connection we all share is what makes our brand so precious and unique, which unfortunately you don’t see a lot of these days. Because it’s so valuable, it fuels my ambition to never let anything compromise it, even failure. I don’t believe in failure, but I do believe in opportunities to learn and grow. Without my purpose, my community, or my ambition I wouldn’t be where I am now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m the co-owner of an up-and-coming production company called Prestige Entertainment. Our mission is to prioritize unique storytelling, from a diverse range of filmmakers, giving them the medium to tell their stories with the most prestigious quality, team, and resources. To understand what that means, I had to crash and burn many times on set, make friends and enemies, change schools, change degree plans, and practically rebuild myself. It wasn’t easy, but I knew If I wanted to be successful in this business, I would have to push myself mentally well beyond my limits.

The most important lesson I learned in the process is to take risks. If you have a dream to shoot for the stars, go for it. And don’t stop until you do. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall, it’s what you do after you pick yourself back up. And that’s what I want the world to know about my story. I want people to be inspired and persevere to achieve their own goals.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d say it depends on what you’re looking for. LA’s got a lot to offer between theme parks like Disneyland and Universal Studios, the beaches in Malibu or Santa Monica, exploring the various studio tours from the major studios, or something as simple as a scenic hike in the hills. I think that’s the great thing about big cities like Los Angeles, that there’s something for everyone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I have to thank God. God is the one who gave me these talents, and the ability to do what I love every day. I also have to thank my mom for always supporting my dreams and ambitions during the good times and the bad. She was my #1 fan since day 1, and will always be. I also have to thank my dad, the real superhero in my life. You inspire me to be a great leader and to go big with my dreams. I also want to thank my brother, sister, family, and friends. Without all of you, I wouldn’t be where I am now.

I also need to give a huge thank you to my business partners, Alex Mounir and Diego Vidal. You two are what made our company a family, and a place to have fun instead of work. I couldn’t ask for a better team, and I’m excited to see where we go with our careers.

Last but not least, my mentor Pavan Grover. It’s rare to find a genuine mentor these days, especially in the entertainment industry. But from the beginning, you’ve done nothing but invest in my success, encourage me to take risks, and even get me into my first-ever red carpet premiere.
