We had the good fortune of connecting with Addison Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Addison, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Tulsa, OK. I grew up with amazing parents and an incredible sister who always encouraged me to chase my dreams from an early age. Whether it was academically, in sports, or creatively, they never held me back and made sacrifices to put me in the best position to succeed.

Seeing their love, resilience, and compassion has definitely shaped who I am today. I carry those values with me and strive to honor their legacy in everything I do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is deeply personal, rooted in my experiences and the things I’m passionate about—creativity, culture, and connecting people through storytelling. What sets me apart is my ability to blend multiple mediums: photography, content creation, music, and A&R. I approach everything I do with a mindset of innovation, pushing boundaries while staying true to who I am. I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built and the people I’ve been able to work with. Every collaboration, whether big or small, has contributed to my growth and shaped my understanding of what true artistry is.

My journey hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has been a stepping stone. From starting with just a dream to getting my first major opportunities in LA, I’ve faced obstacles that seemed insurmountable at times. But I kept pushing, leaning on the lessons I’ve learned, and finding strength in my support system. My mentors have played a huge role in helping me navigate this journey. They’ve shared their wisdom, and their belief in me helped me keep moving forward when things got tough.

I’ve learned that success isn’t just about talent; it’s about persistence, humility, and knowing when to ask for help. Embracing failure as part of the process and finding opportunities in setbacks has been crucial in my growth.

What I want the world to know about me is that I’m someone who strives to bring people together, to elevate creatives, and to inspire others to push the envelope in their own way. My brand, “Not Regular,” reflects that mindset—it’s about standing out, being authentic, and embracing what makes you unique. I’m just getting started, but my goal is to leave a lasting impact and show others that anything is possible if you stay true to yourself and keep grinding.

Let me know if you’d like any changes!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! First and foremost, I have to thank God for my gifts and talents. My parents and my sister have been there for me since the very beginning, always supporting me.

I also want to acknowledge some incredible mentors like John Daugherty, Tyron Hall, and Kyle Steenveld, who gave me opportunities when all I had was a dream. I’m grateful to the organization UATVC at Victory Church, where I was able to intern, and Unruly Citizens in OKC, which allowed me to connect with major artists.

A special shoutout to Julian Peoples and Ryan Rozsnaki for giving me my first big opportunities when I moved to LA, exposing me to the industry and letting me work with amazing, up-and-coming talent.

And last but not least, shoutout to my Not Regular Crew members. Love my brothers, man.

Also, in terms of what’s been fueling my mind lately, I’ve been reading the Bible, “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” and “Art Not Giving A F*.”
