Meet Adelia Nazyrova | Ballet dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adelia Nazyrova and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adelia, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Hello!
My name is Adelia Nazyrova.
My whole life is connected with dance, ballet and contemporary dance.
I was born in Kazan, Russia. From early childhood, I was exposed to various cultural events and concerts. At one of the ballet performances, I told my mom that I wanted to dance like a Ballerina on stage—so light and beautiful.
That’s when my parents took me to my first ballet class, and so my journey in ballet began.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
From an early age, I have enjoyed exploring myself and observing my growth professionally, now in the USA.
For me, ballet is a means of self-expression. Without words, I can convey the essence of my emotions and feelings through movements, set design, and music.
I am interested in collaborating with brands, participating in advertisements, films, and performances. I understand that dance can be limitless.
My main dream is to create my own company where every creative person can express themselves. By bringing people together, I hope to create a show.
At this stage, I am dancing with the American company, World Ballet Company, gathering knowledge and inspiration.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite places in New York are Soho, green point, Williamsburg.
I recommend The Joyce Theatre, Lincoln center and Baryshnikov Arts Center, Fotografiska Museum NYC, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I like music Public Records and The lot radio.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I appreciate my parents. They give me the freedom to choose and supported me every time.
And of course, I am thankful to all my teachers at the Kazan ballet school, where I studied 8 yers.
Thanks to the teachers and colleagues from the Kremlin Ballet and the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich Danchenko Theatre.
Now I dance in New-York and learn from new teacher all over the world, its very interesting for me, because I always dreamed of working in USA.
And also I give dance classes for people, who have never danced. I see their emotions of joy from process and happiness feeling.
