Meet Adir Tal | Hospitality Guru & DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adir Tal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adir, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I take time exploring the current market I work in or am investing in, to first find out if there are any voids in the industry. I always follow my passion in hospitality and music, but also want to make sure that the venues I invest in make sense for the initiatives I want to implement. I think about the location, the demographic, the aesthetic…every single detail before jumping in. Becoming a partner at The Victorian just made perfect sense. I love nightlife and music (I DJ as “DIJITAL”), and want to bring new programming to the west side.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart in the hospitality world is that I’m in the business of making people happy. Guest experience is everything to me. I love seeing guests having a great time and building life-long memories that are tied to a place, a song, a meal they had, etc. That’s why it is so important to me to constantly develop new marketing initiatives, come up with interactive programming, and give creatives an outlet like the basement at The Vic. Becoming a partner at a major hospitality group wasn’t easy, but I definitely put in the time, the work, and just really love what I do. I think if you have a strong passion in what you do, no matter the challenges, you will continue to learn and grow and stick with it to become successful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Other then visiting the obvious (my spots), the Victorian and Calamigos Guest Ranch and Beach Club, I love taking visitors to some of my favorite food spots like La Vechia, Brothers Sushi or Tsujita. My wife and I also love to entertain at home. I cook often and like to host friends and family at our house in Topanga. I have a meat smoker I use all the time, and we have plenty of delicious wine on hand to serve. Welcoming friends and family into your home is the best way to introduce them to an area and make them feel welcome.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people I would love to give a shout out to, but I will try to keep it brief. I didn’t get here alone and the support of my friends and family has been incredible – especially my wife Natashia. My business partners Paulo Dagiar, Garner Gerson and Val Caceres have been integral in my growth and are great collaborators. I also want to shout out some amazing creatives and entrepreneurs like Ryan Tierney (CEO and Founder of Lo Siento Tequila), Mark Mollica (Chef at La Vecchia), and Beau Martin (founder of Martin Entertainment Group: MEG). All are an inspiration to me.
