We had the good fortune of connecting with Adonis Tsilimparis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adonis, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk has been a prevalent factor in my life. It’s always a big part of one’s life when they decide to work for themselves and start a business.. Some people might see it as a negative but, I see it as being very useful. It helped me to cut through any unrealistic notions and forced me to be realistic and honest with myself.
I started to know my limitations which is very important.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been a Music Supervisor and Composer for over 20 years. Having worked on both sides of these disciplines, it has been extremely helpful to my career.
I know how each of them work together so I can relate to either side. It has made me a sort of diplomat and ambassador. Getting here was not easy though. It’s a long and winding road that requires a lot of discipline and patience. Those are the key ingredients to becoming successful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the restaurants along the Pacific Coast Highway in Mailbu. I have taken friends to Mastro’s, Nobu Malibu and Malibu Farms.
Another great area to visit is Downtown L.A. There is great live music there.
It’s also a very walkable neighborhood which I personally love since I am a native New Yorker.

I would like to to give a shoutout to The Guild of Music Supervisors. They have been very supportive and present for all of us who work in this industry.
