Meet Adrien Alina | Business lady, DJ, dancer, actress, conceptual artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrien Alina and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrien, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have been working as a lawyer on upscale projects in Europe and here in the U.S., but it never gave me the level of drive I love to experience. Though I succeeded as a young attorney and won prestigious UK Government award Chevening, I still could not manage my career or even my workload as efficiently as I wanted. Finally, having a resume showing excellence in legal career, I still did not build my financial strength. So here we will begin. To have better drive in my life I switched to doing something I love more: arts, acting, music, dancing, but soon I realized to succeed in those areas you should be an excellent manager. Additionally, at this point of my life, besides doing what I love for me it is essential not to depend on money while making my decisions, and the only way to have all I want at the same time is having financial strength and passive income, which I chose to be, my own business. I made a thoughtful research on different businesses that attracted my attention here in Los Angeles. I communicated with people to identify: 1) the community behind the business, cuz once you do business you belong to a specific community; 2) additional opportunities besides money different businesses can bring to me; 3) how much it can exist as a passive income, rather than employment, and finally, of course, 4) how many my skills, knowledge and sources align with the type of business I plan to do.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I work currently on Immersive Art and Music Show Light Up (IG: @immersive.lightup), which is a unique experience that combines the beauty of body paint, the power of music, and the hypnotic burlesque performance. I am an organizer of the event and one of the DJs. The most difficult and important part of this business for me was to become a good manager. It is interesting that inspiration from having this show as my own business, success it can bring to my music career encouraged me to become more organized in my personal life and to make better choices. I am very proud of myself for building an excellent team of people, who are in addition to being extraordinary talented are reliable, responsible and simply flawless. The biggest challenge for me at this point is to promote the show on social media. In addition to consulting with SMM professionals, I do a lot of research myself and, of course, simply experiment with it. The lesson I learnt from doing this is very simple: just make a step ahead every day. Working on this project and DJing at my free time, I came out with a new business, an app LUVM (Love, Umbrella, Value Music) to help artists and producers with copyrights and neighboring rights management. I am currently working on prototype of the app and building a team. All you need to know this app will be made with love to music and to make the work of music professionals easier and more valued.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is just full of interesting things, and I would love to show my guests the diversity: beautiful nature, rich art life, interesting Hollywood premiers, cool night life, amazing dining. So here we are with one day itinerary. In the morning I would take them to hike from Griffith Observatory to the Hollywood Sign. I think hike in LA is the must to do thing, because it is just so spectacular here in LA. Once a month Griffith Observatory has free telescopic viewing. Good to visit, but it is up to a traveler. Then breakfast. Omg, so many choices: from Hollywood Farms Market (every Sunday. Some people say you can meet a celebrity there) to amazing breakfast choices at Republique. Good to go to the museum, because LA has very reach art life. If there is no any special art showing, I would go to Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, excise it is so Hollywood, or Broad Museum, because it is so rich of modern art . I also like VR and AR shows at Wisdome. Here we are it is a dinner time. Is there any LA food? Ha-ha. I would say go to Beverly Hills and just pick a good place there. Because you have to have a walk at Rodeo Drive like a hero of Pretty Woman movie 🙂 I think if you in LA you must go for a movie screening: movie screening with Q&A (when else you can see in person world famous directors, producers and actors?), or movie screening Cinespia (picnic style movie screening at famous cemetery Hollywood Forever), or movie screening at Ace Hotel (at is just so fancy there), or movie screening at Chinese Theatre (just such a historical place), or at New Beverly Cinema (for a unique experience).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am very thankful for mentorship to Scorpion non-fictional character, Walter O’Brien. I think his example and also many of his sayings helped me to figure out what I want. I am inspired how from a boy in a small town in Ireland he grew into a person with world-wide business, film producer career and many many more, and at the same time he stays a humble and respectful person. I truly love Pamela Anderson story, who always lives the life she wants, shows excellence as a leader and green peace speaker, and always fights for what she wants.
