We had the good fortune of connecting with Aimée & Celine of sort it out LLC and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aimée & Celine of sort it out, LLC, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Here’s the thing about professional organizing: it’s not just tidying up. It’s part therapy, part detective work and part magic. Trust is everything. We’re in people’s homes, handling their stuff — that’s personal. Nobody wants a stranger digging through their junk drawer or judging their unmentionables. We create a safe space so clients feel comfortable editing their belongings. They rehire us because the results are amazing. But the trust we build? That’s the real magic.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
sort it out is a professional organizing business that brings order to homes, offices, garages, and more, relieving stress and enhancing spaces. What sets us apart? We’re pretty cool, honestly. Plus, there are two of us — double the fun, double the efficiency. Starting this business to showcase our talents was the best decision we’ve ever made. Along the way, we’ve learned that communication and relationship building with our clients are just as important as the organizing itself. sort it out is here to transform your life, not just your space.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A week-long visit is too long, so we’d have to stretch out each activity. First stop: The Container Store — she waits in the car while we shop. We’d hit the Elysian Theater for killer comedy. Dinner at Barra Santos in Cypress Park. Gotta take her on a dispensary run (we’ve never “smoked weed” — it stinks like shit — but we get it). We’d take her bowling at Shatto Lanes and grab Lebanese food at Skaf’s in Glendale. On her last day: a bagel at 1802 Roasters.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We don’t usually name-drop, but this is Shoutout LA, so f*ck it! Comedian, actress and writer Kate Berlant was our first client after we became an LLC. She loved our work so much she gave us numerous shoutouts on her Poog podcast and the referral clients started rolling in. Then came beloved actor Colin Farrell. After working with him, he told his community about sort it out and helped launch us to new heights. Honestly, we’re so lucky it’s almost ridiculous.
