We had the good fortune of connecting with Alan Delabie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After playing in several TV movies and films, I decided to produce my own films, prioritizing creative freedom and avoiding waiting for the development of my career. Taking risks is essential for artistic fulfillment, even if it involves challenges on the long and difficult road of growth.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have never listened to negative critics; I followed my instinct. If one pays attention to others, they will say everything is impossible, too difficult, with fierce competition. However, in all fields, we are not alone on earth. I have always maintained the discipline to follow the path I wanted to take. Boldness and the ability to approach challenges with positivity, despite adversity, are essential. The film industry is competitive; physical and mental preparation is crucial. Seeking natural charisma and loving intelligent challenges distinguish me from my competitors.

What sets me apart the most is my ability to improve and evolve. I started on television before becoming an actor, and my martial artist roots helped me maintain composure despite the complications of the ever-changing world. Nothing has been easy; I have continuously learned and discovered, as learning continues throughout life. The transition from TV demonstrations with my martial arts shows to becoming an actor and director was a challenge, a real challenge. I continue to learn, even though I have won numerous film festivals and had the chance to work with eminent names like Eric Roberts, Costas Mandylor, and my idols JCVD, Don “The Dragon” Wilson, Matthias Hues, etc. Keeping my head on my shoulders, as there is still much to accomplish; nothing is finished.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
would take them to visit the most important monuments in the city, dine in a restaurant known for its traditional cuisine, and then enjoy a drink in a chic and musical lounge bar.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my accomplishments to my father who always believed in me, even though he left this world when I was 17. His constant encouragement has been the source of my dream of becoming an actor since childhood, and his positivity has always been present. Rooted in martial arts, with iron discipline and mental strength, I also thank my coach, William Delval, who contributed to the foundations of my conquest of cinema by perceiving something special in me. Nothing is finished because new goals await, and nothing is acquired in life; continuous improvement is the key. Thanks also to Michael Morris, LH Chambat, and my friend Richard for following me on this adventure. With several goals still to achieve, I will do my best to reach them.
