Meet Alejandra Rosales | Director/Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandra Rosales and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alejandra, what role has risk played in your life or career?
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was moving to the United States to study my passion, film. I’m very close to my family, and the thought of being away from them filled me with fear and uncertainty. I wasn’t sure if I could make it, but I did. I’ve now been in Los Angeles for over a year, and that feels like a huge achievement. Throughout this journey, I’ve learned so much, not just about my carer, but also about myself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I know I still have a long way to go to reach my goal of becoming a recognized producer, but I’ve already taken the first steps on my journey. Breaking into this industry can be overwhelming because it’s so vast—you have to make yourself known and stand out through your work. Little by little, opportunities have started to come my way, and I’ve met people who have connected me with others.
For now, I’m focused on expanding my network and gaining more experience in my field, and I’m truly enjoying the process. It’s not easy, especially being in another country and far from my family, but I’ve found that despite the competition, people in this industry are very open, offering advice and guidance on how to move forward. Opportunities often arise in unexpected ways, and once you step in, you begin to see just how many possibilities exist. However, reaching them still requires patience, persistence, and hard work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is one of the most famous cities in the world, with so much to see and experience. Personally, I love watching the sunset, so I would definitely take her to Santa Monica or Malibu, two of the most iconic beaches in LA, where the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking.
Of course, no trip to LA would be complete without visiting its most famous landmarks. I’d make sure to take her to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Disneyland, and all the must-see spots that make this city so special.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person who deserves the most credit is my mom. She has always supported my decisions, taught me to rise after every fall, and has been by my side since day one. I’m also incredibly grateful to my dad, my brothers, my entire family, and my closest friends. Through their time, advice, and encouragement, they have helped me in countless ways. Having such a strong support network is something truly special, and I deeply value it. Each of these people has contributed to shaping the person I am today.
