We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandro Speranza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandro, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Well… I truly tried to do Law, but it wasn’t working for me. Since there is absolutely no justice in the world… law simply would have meant a money driven career that felt empty of meaning. Despite lawyers are very necessary, I wasn’t ready to be that person. There’s enough people chasing that rabbit already!

Instead, the only thing I seemed to be able to focus on for a long period of time was music and recording. It was natural to me, it made sense.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I work in the field of Music Production, recording composing and producing artists. Which means bringing an idea in somebodys mind into a fully realized track that your friends can hear, and hopefully take over the world. Of course there’s so much offer in this field in this city with the advent of computer music that it almost doesn’t seem special anymore, yet only a few years back it was considered as unconventional as the dark arts.
I like the challenge since every artist I have the pleasure to work with is it’s unique sphere. Rules that might work with one might not be valid with another, and all this needs to be captured from the moment that I open the door of the studio until the 5 min conversation about the song we will be recording that day. that fast!
So, the best part about it is that it’s all based on intuition! logic might give you some guidance but ultimately it’s your gut instinct that will tell you the right answer or path, or sound or melody for that specific day, time, artist.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite things about Los Angeles, it’s the proximity to nature. It only takes 45 minutes to be in the desert, mountains, water? #1 Camping in Leo Carrillo
#2 Surfin in Malibu
#3 Hangout & Drinks at the standard hotel rooftop
#4 Venice boardwalk prawl and drinks at Del Monte speakeasy with my friend Dorian!! (Best drinks in the house)
#5 Desert party
