We had the good fortune of connecting with Alessandro Gentile and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The road to where I am today was a long difficult one. When your in film school you feel like you can conquer the world ahead of you. Once you enter the real world you realize that you have so much to learn and need to find your own way. Luckily I had some supportive people in my life that provided me with amazing opportunities to help further my directing career. My wife Luisa Frias is someone that has always supported my career and never allowed me to turn down any work. Luke Rivett a producer at Anonymous Content put me in front of Eugene Levy for the “Schitts Creek” pilot. I fortunately got selected to film the project. And currently my producing partner Heather Flores of Radium 88 Productions, who believes in my creative vision and filming style. We both support each other’s endeavors.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think Highland Park is an area to not miss. It’s the Northeast section of Los Angeles and offers an eclectic scene. It’s sprinkled with various coffee shops, restaurants and bars.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This new pivot as a film director and company owner could have not been a reality with out my new producing partner Heather Flores.
