We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexa Fanchette Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexa Fanchette, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic career because it’s one of the highest forms of self expression. It’s a career that is constantly challenging you and forcing you to grow, evolve, and go deeper. In my field of acting it allows me to explore and study myself and humanity as a whole.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited about book I have coming out Titled “Words live by.” It’s book filled with short quotes most of them are original, but some of them are from my favorite mentors and speakers. I wrote the book with the intention of empowering people and helping them not only survive but to thrive in life. One of my main reasons for my purpose I believe is to be the thing that I needed. I live out my beliefs that we are all multi dimensional beings and we are allowed to have more than one interest and we should live a multitude of lives in one you’re never too old. It’s never too late. You only have one life make the most of it. I always try to come from a place of authenticity and being myself to the fullest so I give other people the permission to do the same. I am currently working on a screenplay that I’m super excited about as well so I have a lot in the works coming out soon and I think I’m most proud of the fact that I live the lessons that I teach and I lead by example. And one of the things that has helped me be successful is knowing that God never says no it’s either not yet or something better is coming. Learning the art a pivoting and allowing yourself to be multidimensional.
OK, so the industries not where we wanted to be right now what else can I be working on? What other goals do I have? What other dreams / purpose do I have? What other things they God put in my heart to work on? You can’t waiting to be chosen, you can’t wait for the industry to change you have to change the industry you have to choose yourself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start them off with karaoke on a Monday in Hollywood. Then we would go to Castaway for brunch. I would take them to Orange County to Javier for early dinner/ocean views in Newport Beach. Hilltop + kitchen for coffee downtown LA.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents, 1000% for giving me safe place to grow and allowing me to be myself. Always supporting me and my dreams. I have learned a lot from personal development books and teachers “Ask and it is Give”by Esther and Jerry Hicks. “The magic of thinking big” David Schwartz and “ You can heal your life” by Louise Hay
