Meet Alexander Harold | Creative Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Harold and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexander, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The most important decision i’ve had to make that’s contributing to my success is to remain grounded and humble through the whole process. No matter how big or small the job is I always remind myself that i’m still a student of life. We’ll never have it all figured out, which is humbling to me. This only helps me continue to learn and have nothing but the utmost respect for everyone i’m connecting with professionally or personally.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Creativeconnect Agency LLC was birthed from the idea of connecting with some many like minded creatives though photography/videography and realizing the network growing from working together. Before the company was established , I was just shooting personal creative projects for free and local musicians at this bar formerly known as the “Waiting Room”. It was one of the only places in Buffalo , NY i knew where musicians could perform for a small group of people and be a opener for artist such as Westside Gunn , Tyler the Creator , Isaiah Rashad and more. After a while i realized that my network had grown from doing so much personal work and noticing how everyone was connecting through my work. That it was time to make it a established brand that can help people connect.
What sets Creativeconnect apart from others is the reason why i create. It’s not to look flashy , cool , nobility , money or fame. It’s to truly capture and create moments , memories and art that will make an impact for a lifetime. I’m aiming to document history as it is and protect with the proper vision. Whether that be someone i know wedding day , an artists first time on tour or even my child’s first foots. I aim to make people feel something with these moments.
I’m most proud of a campaign i helped create for a Non-Forprofit about Co-vid 19 spreading in the refugee community .
I got where I am today, professionally by. Mentoring under a couple of my peers straight out of college. They gave me a lot of experience in the entertainment industry that I needed to take personally and move forward on my own path creatively .I started from shooting in the forest by myself after class in college to helping my mentor Denzel Williams, build his brand learning how different positions in production worked. Afterwards i began interning for Haute La Vie Since 2166 , which led to me becoming a part owner of the company with Shawn Patterson and others. This all gave me the experience needed to scale my business for the next six years and become independent and create Creativeconnect Agency LLC.
Some of the lessons that I’ve learned along the way, is to not engage in business does not benefit everybody that it affects. Some things only come in time. You’re not only as good as your last work and that patience as your best friend along with journey.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we’re talking in terms of Buffalo, I would definitely say we would go to Vice to grab some drinks probably go to the Gorge in Niagara Falls for a nice hike. Sunshine Vegan always has some great food. I’d probably take them to the Legacy House to just hang around some creatives. And with it being a week long trip, we probably go to Toronto in Canada because it’s an hour and a half drive away.
As for Los Angeles, I love Monty’s. Monty’s burgers are really the best thing on earth. We’d probably go to Santa Monica pier. I know that’s hella cliche , however let’s be real, It’s a vibe there regardless. Afterwards I’d probably look on the @secret.losangeles page on instagram because they always have some good stuff on there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d Love to shoutout God first , My Family , Friends , Shawn Patterson , The Whole Haute La Vie family , DZ Media , LVRN Records, My good friend Trist Morris and everyone that’s taking the time out to read this article. I’m truly grate to make it this far. Thank you to the wonderful staff at “Shoutout LA”!
