We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Ward and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandra, what do you attribute your success to?
I think my relationships with my clients. I think of them as my friends and genuinely care about what is going on with their life outside of my treatment room. I think that is what has built my client loyalty the most. I’m also very happy to say no to a client buying a product that I know won’t benefit their skin. I care way more about their results and the integrity of their skin than making a sale.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am an esthetician that specialises in helping you achieve your healthiest skin. It’s not just my career but also my hobby and so I never get sick of learning more! I’m constantly listening to webinars and going to different trainings to expand my knowledge and learn something new. I tend to nerd out over ingredients and product formulations and love to take the time to also educate my clients on specific ingredients. When someone comes to see me I’m not just preforming a facial but providing an in depth, thorough analysis of their skin and a custom skincare routine to get them to their goals. My goal is not to have a client have to come in for a facial every 2 weeks for the rest of their life but rather create a plan to help them improve their skin and maintain it outside of the treatment room.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My business wouldn’t be where it is without the help of my fiancé. From packing orders, putting up shelves, to encouraging me to start my own business in the first place. He has always been my biggest cheerleader and believed in me even when I had little faith in myself.
