Meet Alicia Corbett | Founder of Juice Me Down

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Corbett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alicia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I started Juice Me Down, I was experiencing some health issues that really just sat me down. I began to juice my favorite fruits and veggies and immediately began feeling a world of difference. I figured if I can help anyone else that may be dealing with similar health issues, I would feel like I’m fulfilling my purpose. I started letting my friends and family try my juices and they loved them. Here we are a year and a half later, and we’ve sold over 500 bottles of juice to our community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others was my drive to create in such a dark place in my life. The irony that in one of my darkest moments I created something so bright, that brings me joy, while helping others. One of my proudest moments as business owner is winning a business grant from Revlon/ KNC Beauty a few months after I opened Juice Me Down. That moment truly means the world to me, because they believed in my vision and gave me a huge push that I needed. I think the biggest challenge as a business owner is figuring our what works and what doesn’t. That comes with time and money but having a tribe of people that support and push me is seriously how we are where we are now. Our goal is to assist anyone in need of help on their wellness journey!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting the area, I would take them to Ojai! Ojai, is a nice chill getaway from the fast pace life that we live here in LA. We’re staying at the Capri Hotel, and riding bikes through the town. We have stop at Hip Vegan and have one of the best vegan burgers you’ll ever try in your life! Last stop will be Casa Barranca Organic Winery, to taste some natural wines! A whole vibe!!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout Out to everyone who has tasted, purchased, or even told a friend about our Juices. We wouldn’t be here without all of your support, it’s beyond appreciated and seriously keeps us going! Also, shoutout to all small business owners, it is not easy having your own business, but SO worth it!
