We had the good fortune of connecting with Alina Brace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alina, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Ever since I was a baby I liked to draw and paint, sing, come up with my own songs and just was always very dramatic. When I was 4 years old, I begged my mom to sign me up for acting classes. I just love that in acting you get to play different characters and learn new things and get out of your comfortable zone.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started taking acting classes when I was 4 years old and after performing at the showcase at the end of the school year, I was able to sign with my SE agents in Atlanta. I was fortunate enough to get many opportunities and auditions early on and booked my first commercial, a role in TV series, Sweet Magnolias, and then my first theatrical feature film, The Fabelmans, when I was 5.

I would say that the road is never easy, especially in the industry that is highly competitive, where actors face a lot of rejection and uncertainly. The last few years were tough as we all went through a lot of changes with pandemic, and recent SAG AFTRA strike. However, I am very grateful that I have a great support system with my parents, agents, manager and acting coaches that allows me to pursue my dreams and stay focused.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Orlando, FL, so I definitely would take my friend to one of our world famous theme parks. They would stay with us and we can spend time together exploring the city.

One day we would go to Disney Springs where we can watch a movie , eat at a restaurant, grab some dessert, dance and listen to live music. I would also take them to a water park one day and to theme park of their choice. I personally love roller coasters!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my parents for always believing in me and my first acting studio , The Actor’s Scene for giving me the foundational skills and experience in acting.
