We had the good fortune of connecting with Aline& Alena Petunia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aline& Alena, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of our female-based tattoo shop in Beverly Hills is our personal journey and the unique touch we bring to every piece we create. Coming from Germany, we wanted to bring a slice of our home to a new audience. Our European roots influence every aspect of our shop, from the art itself to the atmosphere we cultivate.
Specializing in watercolor tattoos, we pour our hearts into each design, creating vibrant and personal pieces that reflect our clients’ stories.
Our success is rooted in this blend of European artistry, personal dedication, and an atmosphere that makes our clients feel like they are part of something special. This is what makes our tattoo shop not just a place to get inked, but a place to feel inspired and at home.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Getting to where we are today
professionally hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. Our journey began in Germany, where our love for art and tattoos started. When we moved to the United States to open our female-based tattoo shop in Beverly Hills, we faced many challenges, including our poor English skills. Despite this, we were determined to make our dream a reality.
Starting fresh in a new country meant we had to learn a lot about how business works here and build a new customer base. It was tough, but we believed in our vision of bringing a European touch to the tattoo scene.
One of the hardest parts was getting noticed in a busy market. We stayed true to our unique style and made sure our shop was a welcoming, supportive place for everyone. Social media and word of mouth were key in helping us build our reputation.
Through this journey, we learned the importance of persistence and staying true to our values. Even when things were tough, we kept pushing forward.
Building a strong, supportive community within our team and with our clients has been essential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we want to go in the nature. We kick off our day bright and early with a thrilling hike along the Los Liones Trail in Pacific Palisades. This trail promises breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and ranks high among the best coastal hikes in Los Angeles.
We find the trailhead at 580 Los Liones
Drive, Pacific Palisades.
For dinner, we treat ourselves to an enchanting Italian dining experience at Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi in Pacific Palisades. This cozy gem is renowned for its authentic Italian flavors, warm ambiance, and hospitable charm.
Also we absolutely adore the Art District in Downtown Los Angeles because it combines two of our greatest passions: exploring incredible art and enjoying delicious craft beer. In essence, the Art District in Downtown Los Angeles holds a special place in our hearts because it brings together everything we love: art that inspires us and beer that delights our senses. It’s a place where we can indulge in our passions, nurture our creativity, and create unforgettable memories .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Moving to Los Angeles to pursue our American dream has been an exhilarating journey, filled with challenges and triumphs that have shaped our lives in profound ways.
Along this path, there are numerous individuals and influences that have played pivotal roles in our success.
First and foremost, a heartfelt shoutout goes to my fiancée Nick, who has been my rock and inspiration since we met in the vibrant chaos of LA. Nick’s talent as a hair colorist at a prestigious salon near the Beverly Center not only showcases his skill but also his dedication to his craft. His unwavering support and belief in us have been instrumental in pushing forward through every hurdle and celebrating every achievement.
I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to our circle of friends in LA, whose camaraderie and
encouragement have made this city feel like home. Their belief in our dreams and their presence during both the highs and lows have made all the d
