Meet Alix Lindbergh | Line Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alix Lindbergh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alix, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want to be remembered as somebody who cared. If my name is on something, I want it to be amazing. If someone knows me, I want them to know that I care about them and their success. There is so much selfishness in the world today, people who will do anything to get ahead. The film and television industry is often times who you know, not what you know. I strive to be the kind of person that people want to know.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My first production job came from a connection that I made at a film festival. I didn’t work in production again for a couple years until a friend got me a job as a production assistant on a reality tv show. I made friends and worked my way up the ladder, and now I’m a Producer/Line Producer and an award-winning screenwriter. It wasn’t an easy journey, especially starting out. There were many times when I paid for my own travel to go work on shows across the country. I’d end up barely breaking even on those jobs, but I gained invaluable experience. Making good friends, working your butt off, a sense of humor, and an adventurous spirit will get you far in this industry. Though it’s very discouraging sometimes, keep pushing forward. If there’s nothing going on, make your own stuff. This world is a huge place, and the opportunities are endless; sometimes we need to make those opportunities ourselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I currently live in Austin, Texas. I’m from a very small town originally, so Austin is very overwhelming for me. I love to get out of the city and explore. There are so many adorable small towns nearby to explore. I love Georgetown, Salado, Smithville, Bastrop, Marble Falls, and so many other places. There are incredibly wineries, cute little antique shops, cozy coffee shops, and so many fun boutiques. If you were coming to visit me, we’d go find an adventure in a nearby town with a cute downtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Rose Theater in Omaha, Nebraska, ignited my love for the entertainment industry. I performed in my first play at 9 years old and then went on to perform in 12 more before switching to film and television. The Rose taught me confidence, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and inspired me to become the performer (and later the producer) that I am. I’m forever grateful!
