We had the good fortune of connecting with alyxxmariee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi alyxxmariee, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I feel like this is a big one right here. What I have learned, is to listen to my body. Our bodies are the hub of our intelligence. Our brains are what make everything fuzzy and confusing for us. Tapping into this type of open communication with my body has been built stronger over time. When you start to listen, the answer to this question becomes more and more clear. When I know that something is meant for me and to keep going, is when I can feel it in my body, heart, and soul. The level of oneness I feel energetically is what tells me to keep going, and I can feel almost an energy surge pulsate. It’s easy to listen to the words of everyone around us on how to live our lives. My advice is to follow your inner knowing. Everything else just becomes unnecessary chatter. My intuition is strong. When a change of direction is meant to occur. And I word it that way because I do not always believe that ending something is giving up. So when I feel that a change needs to be made, or that what I am doing is not serving my greater purpose at this moment in time, or won’t ever, again my body tells me. It’s kind of hard to explain the feeling. It’s something I can just feel within. So my advice, tap in. Start connecting with the universal divinity that is within all of us, and allow the flow to occur. When you do, whatever doubts, fears, questions or concerns you might have may be peacefully cleared. All you have to do is listen, the answers are within us.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my ability to remain true to myself no matter what it is that I am doing. No matter if I am in artist mode, business mode, or whatever mode I need to be in, I will always be Alyx. I will always speak up when I have something to say, I will always be goofy, in business settings I’ll dial it down but I still can’t help but let it out. I work hard at everything that I do. I believe in respect and communication and I will always allow others to feel safe with me, because they are. I am open to listening to what others have to say, because ultimately, we are all here together and I believe in teamwork in many aspects.

I am most excited about helping the world heal. I strongly believe that is my purpose here on this Earth. So that is the premise of everything that I do. I got to where I am today because of that premise. This journey is bigger than me and I am ready to do what I need to in order to help anyone around me who wants it. Within that I am blessed to say that the specific things my heart desires to do, like singing for example, all fall into my greater purpose.

This journey is not always easy. But the obstacles are overcome by continuing to push forward. If you love it and have a passion for it, never ever stop. Continue to grow, continue to learn who you are. Learn your strengths and weaknesses. Allow your strengths to carry you while you learn how to manuever your weaknesses to your benefit. Expand your knowledge in taking care of your well-being. Without a solid foundation, you will crumble. So every new day, build up the strength of your foundation more and more. Learn how to listen to yourself. Don’t ignore yourself. Pay attention to your intution. Most importantly, as you gain this new level of independence, don’t forget the power of community. We are only as strong as our weakest link, so build together. Have patience for yourself and those around you. Not to sound corny, but let love and kindess lead the way for you and others. I have been through a lot just like the next person. Sometimes we go through something not only to grow, but also to help the next person get through it. That is my brand, and my story is still being written.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Personally, I like to be in nature. So my ideal place to go would be to one or multiple of the beautiful mountains that surround Las Vegas. It is so peaceful being in such a grounding place. I am vegan so I would more than likely put them on to some vegan spots around the city, or places that have vegan options. Some of my favorites are Daikon Sushi, Tacotarian, and this place downtown called Vegas Test Kitchen. Vegas Test Kitchen is cool because the restaurant allows other food businesses to come and use their kitchen. You can get a little taste of all different types of food vegan or non-vegan, from different businesses. I don’t really go out much or go on the strip much. But if we do go to drink I’d probably take them to Parkway Tavern or one of the cool bars downtown on Fremont Street, like Commonwealth. There’s a zip-lining attraction downtown that is cool for tourists too. But like I said, I’d rather be in nature. I’d go to Red Rock, Lake Mead, The Wetlands, or the Seven Sacred Mountains. People hold drum circles out in the mountains that are so much fun. It’s a bunch of free-spiritied, kind, wholehearted people that just want to vibe in nature and share the energy. I also love going to the vegan farmers markets that are thrown out here, those are lots of fun as well with amazing food and cool clothes and many other things.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest shoutout would have to go to God first. The divine support, guidance, love, and protection that I receive from the universe is unmated. That beautiful cosmic energy that radiates and makes us what we are keeps me going on day to day, moment to monent basis. My next shoutout would have to go to my mom. She has been my rock and my roll. My shoulder to lean on when I feel weak, and my roll dog when I feel strong. I owe her everything.
