We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Stinger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Real Estate has always been an interest of mine. From a young age I remember my mother and I driving around admiring houses and neighborhoods for fun. After college I started my career in Property Management. After a decade of assisting people finding places to live, I thought “I want to Go Bigger with this, I want to not only help people find a home, I want to help them invest in one.” After mastering the role of Property Manager in Washington DC, I decided to bring my talents out west as many dream of and get my Real Estate license in sunny California. Living alongside Hollywood stars and aspiring entertainers I always found myself saying “Hey, maybe ill sell you your first house one day when you make it big.” and sure enough I started selling homes to celebrities, to include grammy award winning singers!
What should our readers know about your business?
Los Angeles is home to over 25,000 Real Estate Agents. Some of which are the very best in the industry. Determing what sets myself apart from realtors and how I could stand out as an agent in a saturated market was very important to me early on. I strive to provide my clients with the highest level of personalized customer service achievable. Having been fortunate enough to live in many different areas of the U.S, I believe I have been able to form a unique style of sales approach to my profession. I bring that southern hospitality charm, mixed in with an East Coast “get it done’ mentality and top it off with that easy going California demenor to create the perfect real estate agent every home buyer or seller deserves. With every real estate transaction I want every client to not look at me as someone just selling them something but to look at me as a trusted, knoweledable and caring friend helping them invest in one of the biggest assets of their lives. I also make it a point to let all of my clients know that just because the deal has closed that does not mean our relationship is over! Whether its referring a handy man or providing the best broker to refinance with, I make it a point to be their resource for life. Building relationships is my specialty. There is no better feeling than when a past client text me an invite to their housewarming party or an update of their renovations they have made on their home since purchasing it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Believe it or not, I have had many friends and family tell me I should be an LA tour guide as a side hustle. I take pride in providing all of my visitors each year with a personalized itinerary when visiting me in LA…yes I said Itinerary. From the moment they land till the time they depart each moment of every day is planned. I never let any guest leave without having a taco from the best tacos in town at Tacos 1986. A scenic hike to see the Hollywood sign at runyon canyon or my favorite ocean view hike at Point Dume in Malibu. Some window shopping on Rodeo drive is always a must alongside a beach day soaking in some vitamin D, Venice Beach is always a guest favorite for the fun cali vibes and surfer watching. I typically make sure my guest have an outstanding meal at any of the Hollywood hot spot H.Wood restaurants such as Deliah or Nice Guy. These restaurants not only always deliver a 5-star meal but also a great place for celeb sightings, another request my out-of-towners often ask for. Los Angeles has some of the best entertainment in the world so of course hitting up a comedy show at The Laugh Factory or a live concert at the Hollywood bowl can also be found on my things to do list while visiting. And last but not least and most likely the realtor in me, every visitor will feel like they just hopped on the TMZ bus tour as I drive them by iconic celebrity homes such as The Playboy Mansion, The Golden Girls house, or Marylin Monroes last residence.
