Meet Ambar Monge | Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ambar Monge and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ambar, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Building Luna has been the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. I did not go to design school. I do not have formal training in social media. I have never done anything like this before. This journey has been challenging from day one. It has tested my faith, my dedication, my relationships and has shaken me to my core. I have considered giving up more times than I can count.
But despite it all, Luna is also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I learn something new every day. I have learned and developed skills I never thought I could. This journey has pushed me far beyond my comfort zone, and still does every day. I am learning, struggling and growing with things.
So why give up just because it’s hard? Why walk away from something that fills me with joy, pride, and deep gratitude?
Don’t give up on yourself or your dreams. The road will be hard. It will challenge you. But it will also fill you with life.

Luna styles are thoughtfully designed to be both classic and feminine. But this isn’t just athletic wear, every piece is intentionally versatile, made to move with you through every part of your day. Whether you’re hitting the gym, running errands, picking up the kids, or heading out for the evening, Luna fits seamlessly into your lifestyle. Pair the Camila Top with a blazer, and you’re ready for a night out in LA.
Luna was born during a very difficult time in my life. It was a time when I felt lost, alone and without any direction. Luna tells a story of resilience, self-discovery, self-love, and finding strength in the struggle.
This brand isn’t just about clothing, it’s about purpose. My hope is that Luna inspires others to believe in themselves, to keep going when things feel impossible, and to know that with passion and perseverance, anything is possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Living near the ocean is a gift I never take for granted. Beach days are non-negotiable, bike rides along the shore, shopping and simply exploring.
Evenings are for rooftop lounges, soaking in city views and sunsets. If it’s the holiday season, the city transforms into a festive wonderland filled with twinkling lights and decorations.
And throughout it all, incredible Mexican food enjoyed all week long.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support of every single person who’s believed in me and this journey.
To every person that has listened, provided advice, and encouraged me – thank you!
To every customer, every like and share on social media – it has meant more than you know and has not gone unnoticed.
I am honored and grateful every single day.
