We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Figueroa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ana, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My name is Ana, and I’m an immigrant from Honduras. I started this business in my early 30s with nothing but a vacuum, a van, and a deep desire to provide for my family. Cleaning wasn’t just work for me, it was healing. I saw how much peace it brought to people. A clean home can ease stress, lift moods, and make someone feel like life is under control again. That meant something to me.

I built this business one house at a time, and over the years, it’s become more than just a job. It’s become a way to give back, to employ good people in my community who just need a chance. I’ve hired moms, dads, immigrants like me, and watched them grow with us. That’s the part I’m most proud of.

This company is my legacy. It’s my way of turning struggle into something beautiful. And now, my daughters are helping carry it forward, and that means the world to me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career began out of survival, I’m was a young mom and immigrant from Honduras just trying to provide for my daughters. I started cleaning homes with no money, no English, and no help. Over time, that turned into a business built on hard work, faith, and love.

What sets us apart is the heart we put into everything. We don’t just clean, we care. Now, my daughters Ana, Diana, Andrea, and Sonia help run the company with me, and I’m proud that we’re creating jobs and making a difference in our community.

It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve learned that consistency, integrity, and staying rooted in your values can take you far. Our story is about resilience, family, and building a legacy from the ground up!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d take them through the best of the South Bay, where LA truly begins. We’re from San Pedro, a historic port town that’s often overlooked but holds so much of LA’s roots. It’s the start of the city, full of culture, hard work, and resilience.

We’d start in San Pedro with a walk along the waterfront, maybe the battleship or the Korean Bell, and seafood at a local spot near the port. Then we’d drive up through the cliffs of Palos Verdes for stunning views of the coast, it’s peaceful, breathtaking, and one of my favorite places to think.

Long Beach would be next, bike rides along the beach path, lunch on 2nd Street, and some shopping or music downtown. Redondo Beach is great for catching the sunset and enjoying a laid back vibe by the pier.

Every day would include good food, ocean air, and time with family. Church on Sunday, and a homemade meal to wrap up the week. For me, the best parts of LA live along the coast, from San Pedro to Palos Verdes to Long Beach, and I’d want them to feel the pride and beauty of where we come from.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely. This shoutout goes to my daughters, Ana, Diana, Andrea, and Sonia Figueroa. They are the heart of this business now. When I started, it was just me, a mop, and a dream. I never imagined that one day, my daughters would grow up to not only support me, but run this company alongside me with so much strength, vision, and love.

Each of them brings something special to the table, Ana is a natural leader, Diana is the one who keeps everything moving behind the scenes, Andrea brings joy and connection to everyone she meets, and Sonia is the one who manages our finances and makes sure the numbers make sense. Together, we’ve turned what was once just a way to survive into a family legacy that’s thriving.

They are my motivation and my biggest blessing. This business carries our last name, Figueroa, and that’s not just a name, it’s our story. I’m so proud of the women they’ve become and the way they’re building on what I started. I couldn’t do this without them.
