Meet Ana Sanchez | Mixologist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It all started in 2017, I was a new mom with many dreams, and one of them was to finish school. I went on an adventure of Bartending and got enough gigs to get me through school fast forward 2023 school is done and what is next? Why don’t I rebrand myself with Bartending. I had this vision of making my bartending be different from others. I want my customers to always have an experience when having either a mocktail or cocktail made by Beautiful Poisons.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My degree is Bachelor of Science in film producing and what got me through that was my Bartending side hustle so why not bring both together . In film we are taught everyone can write the same love story but it’s the never the same experience, how does translate into my drinks , we can all make a Paloma but the experience is always different. I am most excited about our growth. Balance is the keyword and having a supportive partner. I have been able to succeed in my professional career, wife , and mother role , to now being a young first generation Latina entrepreneur making her dreams come true. This has been a rollercoaster filled with many emotions and mental breakdowns and happy tears that I wouldn’t trade for anything. If there’s one thing I have learned from 2017 to 2023 is to never give up on your dreams , they really do come true. When drinks are made with love and kindness you don’t need to look for your customers your customers come to you. Treat the world a little nicer and nicer will come to you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was in town I would take her down to the At Arts district because of the event oriented environment. There’s room for everyone and everyone shares a litttle piece of them. You can find from the most delicious food ,drink to your favorite music album .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and fore most my husband Julio. Idea I have I idea he’s right behind and always seeing what he can do to my business run smoother . Things he’s done for my business my bar table and all of our presentations. Thank you Husband. 2nd Rocio Camacho “La Reina de lo moles “ whom I was able to bartend for her Birthday and she then gave me the opportunity to work side by side with her as she signed me up for a competition “taco and tequila revolución” we did not win but the the people we met and the opportunities that have come from that we are so grateful.
