We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasia Chemeritskaya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anastasia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was simple. I’ve always admired how strong the U.S. healthcare system is, but I also noticed that many people want something beyond what it was built to provide: more prevention, more personalization, more support in their daily health journey. That’s why I started Lyrana. I saw an opportunity to create a platform that complements the system by translating the latest knowledge in wellness and longevity into practical tools, guidance, and services people can actually use in their lives around the world.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lyrana started with a simple idea: healthcare is strong, but people still want more prevention, personalization, and support in their daily lives and longevity. We don’t try to compete with the system, we complement it by connecting science and wellness in a way that feels practical and human.
Building a company as an immigrant was never meant to be easy. There were cultural barriers to navigate, moments when self-doubt crept in, and countless lessons that only experience could teach. Yet alongside those challenges, I kept moving forward, working in clinical cancer trials, passing the USMLE exams as a foreign trained physician, and earning another Master’s degree.
Each step reminded me that progress is not about chasing perfection, but about showing up with persistence. And if there is one truth I have carried through this journey, it is that community, the people who believe in you, guide you, and walk beside you, makes all the difference.
What I’m most proud of is that Lyrana reflects both my 15+ years of experience in healthcare and research and my passion for longevity. It is not just a business it is a vision for the future of wellness, a concierge platform that reimagines how we approach healthspan. Lyrana stands as a bridge between what healthcare is today and what it can become tomorrow: proactive, supportive, and empowering.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to LA, I’d keep it classic but fun—sunset at Griffith Observatory, a beach day in Malibu, sushi in Little Tokyo, and rooftop cocktails in West Hollywood. We’d spend a day exploring The Broad and LACMA, and another hiking in the canyons to watch the sun set into the Pacific.
And then there is my personal twist. I call it my “Bermuda Triangle of joy and inspiration.” Beyond LA, I recharge in San Francisco, where the energy of the city always sparks new ideas and inspiration. I find quiet strength in Tahoe, where the mountains and lake offer a rare moment of silence and reflection. And I restore myself completely in Hawaii, where the ocean and nature bring balance and renewal.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout begins with my parents. Watching them age with grace, but also facing the challenges that come with time, was my first real lesson in why longevity matters. I also bring over 15 years of practical experience as a physician specializing in Women’s Health, Functional, and Integrative Medicine, which taught me the realities of patient care and showed me where people’s needs often extend beyond what traditional healthcare can provide. That experience made me especially receptive to the vision of scientists who shaped the field of longevity.
The works of Vladimir Dilman, a pioneer in the biology of aging, helped me see aging as a process that can be studied and influenced. His hormonal theory of aging proposed that age-related changes in neuroendocrine regulation underlie both the development of chronic diseases and the aging process itself. Vladimir Khavinson, with his groundbreaking peptide research, showed how science could move from theory to real applications for healthspan and I had the privilege of personally studying under him during his lifetime. And Richard Lippman, one of the leading voices in anti-aging medicine, a two-time Nobel Prize nominee, and now a scientific adviser at Lyrana, has been both an inspiration and a guide in shaping my work toward a modern wellness and longevity model.
