We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Leigh Borth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea Leigh, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
The decision to transition from a successful happily married man with a beautiful happy wife, 2 wonderful daughters, an amazing career with a global industry leader, and small homestead ranch with no mortgage to live the rest of my life as a woman.
Best decision I ever made. Remained happily married, career success in two industries. Family adjusted including my parents. Now seen as inspirational. It gives me the confidence to help others with whatever they need help hurdling. I’m blessed.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After a 35 year successful career as a Health and Science Specialist with bio pharmaceutical giant Pfizer inc, which included a seamless gender transition, I retired to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Managing White House Black Market boutiques in Oklahoma City and Dallas brought me success and joy.
The calling to tell my story, write a memoir of the last 25 years, and act as a catalyst for others to make moves in their own lives has drawn me to coaching others to find the meaning and purpose of their own lives in the experience of it. They have to say yes to new experiences.

I’ve been successful in my endeavors in Pharma, fashion, and expect the same as we move forward in the personal development and leadership coaching industry.
My success in ranching, permaculture design, triathlon after being injured, all bring me great confidence in the future.

The key component is a loyalty to the teams which I belonged, the teams I led, and the teachers and coaches I put around me to arrive here.

We do very little alone.
I try to convey this to clients as we seek to become whole individuals and thru our interactions with others do we see where our opportunities are hidden.

With me as the brand, I am direct and cut thru small talk. Because of my unique story, and an appealing balance of the masculine and feminine characteristics that convey a trusting, loving control, and softness, I bridge my relationships with men and women with ease. It’s quite lovely and I nurture it as a wonderful gift.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife Summer, who loves me like no one else. She supported me and was scared about the potential outcome and had to grieve the death of her masculine husband.
My parents, Bill and Julane Borth, who were devastated with the news that their son would soon be called a daughter. They saw the happiness and goodness not only in me but in the effect on those around me for the positive. They were the wind in my sails from the youngest age. Because I had them, I felt I could do anything.
