We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Rosas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to do something that would be part of people’s special moments, and I believe that food can do that like few other things in life. We always see great moments being celebrated with loved ones around a table. Cooking is an act of love. This country gives us great opportunities and I always believed that I could be part of something bigger.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Charcuterie Boards are growing everywhere. Whether it’s a box, a cutting board or a table for larger events. I don’t sell anything different from other professionals in this area, but I believe that what sets each of us apart is ourselves. How we deal with each client, what I can offer to make that moment unforgettable. Every detail makes all the difference and that’s what I try to perfect with each new order, with each new client. Knowing their expectations and needs and delivering the best experience they can have. I don’t deliver cheese and nuts, I deliver the opportunity to show your friends and guests a different way of saying I love you!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is an incredible place and there are many places outside of the Hollywood circuit that few people know about. I live near Palos Verdes and the views from that place, the sunsets, are incredible. Here we have great restaurants, and I’m not talking about size, I’m talking about good food, friendly people who serve you with a smile that melts your heart. Simple and honest food, as we say in Brazil. For my American friends, I recommend Bossa Nova, a delicious Brazilian food that is full of our history and culture. For friends who come from Brazil, Eatalian Cafe & Restaurant has one of the best pastas I’ve ever had here. Hermosa Beach can be an incredible place to have a few good drinks, see different and interesting people of all nationalities and still enjoy the sunset. Los Angeles is pure joy and fun.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have always had great mentors who showed me that I could go further, that I could make a difference in anything I set my mind to. I have always been inspired by the stories of people, especially women who have achieved their place in areas we never thought we would reach. I was born and raised in Brazil and watched interviews and shows about entrepreneurs who, despite so many differences, have achieved their place with determination and hard work. On the Shark Tank Brazil program, there was a woman named Camila Farani. She is a great entrepreneur and helps companies find their place in the sun. This work is called Angel Investor. With her, I understood that anything is possible with hard work and a little daring. And here I am!
