We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Princess and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Basically, if you can’t go a day without thinking about doing that particular job then you shouldn’t give up. As tough as this industry is I keep telling myself that I’ll never give up. Acting is my passion. It wasn’t something I was forced to do by my parents or thrown into as a young kid. I chose to chase my dream of becoming an actress and working on set. There are a lot of setbacks such as this recent strike but as they say, patience is a virtue. I live with the mindset that nothing lasts forever, so once one project is over and complete then I immediately start to focus on the next one. I have a lot of people reach out to me and ask me about this business, like newly actors or what not and the best advice I give them is to make sure they are truly genuinely passionate about it. You have to grow some thick skin also because it’s a brutal industry. I’ve always been one to fight for what I want and never stop until I get it so the challenges don’t really bother me. I’m actually very intrigued by overcoming my obstacles within my professional career, as well as my personal life.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’m an actress, model and producer. I think what sets me apart from other actresses is my mixed unique look. I am half East Indian and half Caucasian. Most people can never figure out my ethnic background. I’m most proud of my dedication and commitment to the entertainment industry. I have a movie streaming on Prime and Tubi right now titled The Paradise Motel which I’m also an associate producer on. I’m really excited about getting my own scripts out there to share with the world. I’ve worked very hard for years to get where I’m at today. It wasn’t an easy road. I started in 2004 doing extra work and then climbed my way into short films before eventually landing a supporting role in a feature film. I overcome my challenges by never giving up and finding a way around my obstacles. I’ve learned that you can never be too trusting of people and always stay focused on what you feel most comfortable with. Nobody knows you better than yourself, so never let anyone tell you how to manage your career. I want people to know that I’m here to motivate and inspire others to always go after their dreams and never give up! I want to share my stories with my fans and allow them to resonate with my characters. I’ve always been a creative individual ever since I was little so my craft means the world to me and I won’t stop until I perfect it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I live in LA so there’s lots to do out here. Most of my friends think I’m living the dream and get so excited to visit Hollywood! One of my favorite spots to hang out is the Rainbow Bar down on Sunset Blvd. I have alot of musician friends who play at the Whiskey A Go Go also. It all depends on what my friends interests are. I live right by Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios isn’t too far from me either. Saddle Ranch is a fun restaurant that I always enjoy hanging out at with my friends that come to visit. There are so many fun and exciting places out here. Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Bowl, Magic Castle, museums, clubs, bars, shows, etc. I don’t think anyone could ever get bored living in LA!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to thank SAG-AFTRA for fighting for us actors during the strike and agreeing on a tentative new contract. Also, my mother for always supporting me and my dreams!
