We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelo Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelo, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I had this conversation the other day with my uncle. We were talking about what being a man is about and what really makes a man successful. It’s easy to get caught up in the superficial things that the world presents us. It’s easy to look at somebody who pulls up in Rolls Royce and call that person successful but we don’t know what they sacrifices they made, if they’re happy or even if they consider themselves successful..
I grew up in a small town in Northeastern Colorado. The men that I looked up to worked hard, took care of their families and was a great husband and friend. I think success is that simple. Just being a great person to those you love and living in your purpose.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started screen printing tees in highschool and selling them in the hallways of my highschool. The first day I showed up to school in a tee that I designed, I went home that day with $600 in pre orders. I would leave school at lunch and go print tees, come back and sell them or sometimes I didn’t even go back and just worked the rest of the afternoon. Selling Tees was how I fed myself, that’s how I bought clothes, sneakers, the things I needed and sometimes paid my grandma’s light bill. I’ve made it this far by being resilient and by God’s grace. Overcoming challenges doesn’t get easier. New levels require more of you, you have to learn new skills, you have to think differently and you need new strategies at each level. I’m still trying to learn how to enjoy the process but I just keep moving forward and understand that God is going to take care of me no matter what. Kind of cliche but I come from nothing and I want to be representation for the kids that come from rough neighborhoods and show them it is worth the fight and dreams really do come true. I named the brand World To Fear because I am in that war but I know that the pinnacle of the fashion industry is in my future and when we get there it was By God’s Grace.
