We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Chernova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
In the tattoo industry, one thing outsiders are probably unaware of is the level of planning and artistry that goes into each piece before the needle even touches the skin. People often think it’s just about drawing or inking on the spot, but a lot of time is spent consulting with clients, understanding their vision, and meticulously designing a custom piece that matches their body and story. It’s a blend of artistry, precision, and technical skill that goes far beyond simply applying a tattoo.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Initially, the name North was taken because my husband and I are from the north and wanted to implement this and show it in our main brainchild. You will see a subtle hint of this in the interior design.
In our studio, the emphasis is mainly on the professionalism of the masters, we have gathered guys from all over the world in our studio. Each of them is very qualified and has their own unique style, we also take students and teach them using our unique method.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Los Angeles I love to visit Disneyland! It will definitely be first and foremost. I also love walking around Little Tokyo, the restaurants at Marina del Rey, I love to watch the sunset downtown, when the pink sunset is reflected from the windows and storefronts of buildings, for me it is a special magic.
