We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Singleton and Christina Singleton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna and Christina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Anna Singleton

As the children of entrepreneurs, I think it was ingrained in us from birth. Our dad was a mechanic, and our mom was an interior designer, both of them were hardworking small business owners. Growing up, I saw the flexibility that they had even though it was stressful. Seeing the ups and downs of entrepreneurialism firsthand influenced me to gravitate to the lifestyle of a business owner. From watching my parents, I didn’t see somebody putting a suit on and being at the office at 8:00 AM. I just naturally knew that I would at some point start a business just like my parents.

The thought process behind starting this particular business came from a happy accident. I moved from the U.K. in hopes of starting a career in the entertainment industry. I moved into a lovely apartment building in Ventura California. I was shocked to find the building had a lackluster marketing strategy. One day, I walked into the manager’s office to offer free videos to market the community. One thing led to another, and I soon found myself building a network of clients and videographers. I soon realized the entertainment industry was not for me. Coming from a TV and film background in London, I used what I had learned and started applying it to the apartment industry. Over time, the company went from providing video services to photography, social media management, renderings, virtual tours, and more.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Christina Singleton

We are a proud immigrant female-owned business. We built the business from the ground up and have never taken any investment. Anna and I have worked hard to achieve the success of the business today. Along with our talented team and the support of others throughout the years, Show My Property has become a reputable multifamily marketing agency.
As business owners, we never stopped working hard to achieve the goals we set ourselves and Show My Property. We kept going even when it was stressful and exhausting, we navigated through those challenging times and prevailed. For instance, the pandemic was a difficult time but thankfully we managed to turn things around. We began offering video tour services that were COVID-safe. Thankfully things begin to shape up, and the journey continues. We look forward to achieving new things with our expanding team.

What sets Show My Property apart from other marketing agencies in the industry, is simply the quality work and results we obtain for our clients. Additionally, we specialize in various types of services including video production, photography, renderings, virtual tours, sitemaps, floorplans, and more. Property Management groups can rely on us to produce quality content that will help connect their communities with future and current residents. Overall, we are a one-stop shop for clients seeking marketing solutions.

Luckily, Anna and I have each other as a support system, together we have helped each other mentally. We are each other’s therapist, coach, and partner, the partnership we have is something special. We often get “how’s it working with your sister,” I always say it’s the best thing I could ever ask for. We are always bouncing ideas off each other and pushing each other to achieve new things.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When I have friends visiting from England, my first stop is usually the Westside of Los Angeles or the beach area. Almost every friend of mine wants to visit the world-famous Santa Monica and Venice Beach. The best place to find plenty of restaurant choices and shopping stores is Abbot Kinney Drive. I usually do a delicious brunch meal and some shopping.

On the weekends, we like to do lunch and brunch all over town. Another place I love hanging out is Marina del Rey because the food is usually delicious. I tend to avoid Hollywood these days because it’s so crowded. Also, we used to have our office on Hollywood Boulevard, and I feel like I have gone everywhere in Hollywood. Overall, my favorite spots are usually along the coastal cities including Malibu, Venice, and Santa Monica.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For us, there are two sets of people that deserve recognition for the success of Show My Property. The number one group is our team. This includes everybody who has been part of Show My Property and our current team. We have been lucky enough to hire professionals who are committed to delivering quality work and the values of the company. For years, the agency has delivered excellent marketing solutions for property management groups. Without the hard work and creativity of our team members, we would not have the recognition we have today in the multifamily industry.

Secondly, we credit the success of our company to the drive of our clients. Our clients continuously push us to new solutions to help connect them with residents. The partnerships we have built over the years are the foundation for the success of the company. We continue to meet new clients at multifamily family conferences across the nation. Additionally, from the speaking opportunities at multifamily conferences, we have been able to share new ideas and new people believe in them as well. Thankfully, we have built a network of loyal clients that trust us to produce new content for their communities.
