Meet Anne Duya | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anne Duya and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anne, why did you pursue a creative career?
The main reason why I fully pursued this journey on my different platforms, starting from TikTok with sharing posts about God, Christian/Apostolic Pentecostal relatable content to posting reels for fun on Instagram and realizing that I could also share the gospel on my Instagram.
I did create a modesty account on Instagram (@rapunzelmodesty) a while back during the pandemic
And with the passion I had for modest fashion continue to grow overtime especially with struggling to love it growing up as an Apostolic girl.
As time went by, the passion I had and still have for editing for vlogs on my youtube continued into modest fashion related reels on my Instagram. At first it was all for fun for my friends who followed my Instagram but as time flew, other people and Christians/Apostolics…etc saw my reels and it hit me to try being “serious” on Instagram not for my benefit but to make others see that Modesty is beautiful and to even share my lifestyle as a Christian and to show how God has been good too me through: sentimental testimonies on my reels, to short clips of things that I’m blessed with to even being in the house of the Lord with other young people who worship the same God as me.
With my main goal in pursing this “career” is to make Jesus known. All I do on my social media platforms is for the Lord and for His Glory only. So, I’m truly excited to reach to others through my testimony that I’m planning to make on my youtube channel very soon. I’m just learning to let go and go with the flow and let God have His will on my platforms that are for Him.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Through this modesty journey and this journey as a whole as an Apostolic girl I’m learning something new about myself and my walk with the Lord as I go.
What sets me apart from many Content Creators in the fashion community is the passion me I have not only for fashion like many others, but my passion with Modest Fashion because I want to inspire other young girls and women about how beautiful modesty is and not only through my outfits and lifestyle since modesty isn’t only with our outer appearance, but it counts as how you act. So what makes me set apart is my testimony on how I grew up as an Apostolic who struggled like many other Apostolics. But my testimony is what sets me apart.
What I’m most excited about is with my page growing, I see a family with many near and far, all around the world who enjoy what I love doing the most! And for the Lord’s Glory of course I give Him all the praise in advance for what He’s going to do on my platforms that are for His kingdom to serve His people, and Love His people.
How I got to where I am, I don’t know if I want to say “professionally” but I would of never imagined to be where I am with the community and lovely people I’ve met through my page and connected and shared about our journeys with the Lord, our passion for fashion, where we get our clothing and much more. It wasn’t easy at first since at first I didn’t even know what I was doing but posted for fun then now consistently posting mainly on my Instagram brings mire joy then when I first started, it’s hard sometimes since I sometimes struggle with creator’s block but always asking what content wants to be seen or continued to be seen and ideas just continue to flow after with all the suggestions.
The lessons I’ve learned along the way, is to trust God through everything.
What I want the world to know is that everything I do is for the Lord and for His Glory. Through my several platforms I want Him to be known, not me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, ti me it depends on the weather to where I’d want to be in a setting. On a sunny nice day, I’d love to go to the beach or eat sushi in a patio and catch up with life or even plan what to do next. I love planning ahead but I can’t help but to stop by things seen along the way. If it’s a gloomy day I love going to Art Galleries especially the go-to one I go with friends at the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) and love taking pictures and just walking around.
But I’m really open to whatever is around or even taking a train ride to the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to firstly, give ALL the thanks to God for Him blessing me with these several platforms to share about the beauty on Modesty and my life as an Apostolic.
I want to thank my parents and family for the love and support with what I love doing through these platforms.
I want to thank my church family for all the love and kinds words and prayers through this journey.
And to my friends with their endless support with every I do for the Lord.
Especially my best friend Melly, thank you for all the love and keeping up with my chaos and putting up with being dragged in my posts and videos. I love you girl.
