Meet Annie Taylor: Storyteller and Brand Maximizer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Annie Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Annie, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
As a rising entrepreneur, a-lot of things are trial and error. I have some days I wake up, and I believe Ive conquered the day in excellence whereas others where I believe I’ve failed. Failed myself, failed my clients, failed at running a business? Why because it’s hard. No matter how many hours in a day, I realize its about patience, its about practicing better systems, preparation, and accountability. I don’t give up, because I realize the tenacity and determination is in me, and everyday that I at least ‘try’ is a successful day.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a self-taught designer I am consistently excited about learning something new. Creativity is a whirlwind and I’m grateful to be apart of it. I am also excited to see the expansion of my business, and to watch what I know now transform into something even greater. My sole goal will be serve as a teacher. I know it’s one thing to handle odd tasks, but its truly another to show people just how to grow and keep consistency with their creative branding.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Brunch! I live and breathe brunch, and its always a great time for myself any my friends. Rather it be Bottomless Mimosas by the water or French Toast Downtown I am going where the vibes truly reside.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to extend a thank you to my close friends. Prior to my jump into entrepreneurship I had several doubts, and found myself facing what is known as ‘imposter syndrome’ but they wouldn’t let up. They held me accountable, and became a hub for peace in the midst of a fear storm. I am grateful for my friends, and family for the consistent support. I would also love to thank my clients turned friends, who challenge and support me daily. I appreciate them for my business wouldn’t be anything without their consistency and love.
