We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Geoffrey Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony Geoffrey, what do you attribute your success to?
…It started with believing in myself, having the vision and passion behind it regardless of the support system I had or didn’t have, it made me realize how vital it was for me to only care about what success and happiness meant to me…
This belief began prior to me jumping into the entertainment industry but any goal or dream I began to set my mind to slowly started to happen because I believed I could do it! It was the letting go of fear where I started to realize that in the end, everything would work itself out because I knew I’d find a way to make it work no matter what. Once you figure out the only person standing in your way is yourself, you will have the answers deep within yourself. At the end of the day, I found that manifesting anything I wanted was only able to happen if I believed it in and did it with the right intentions. It was never about the money, that was never a driving force, it was the fact that I wanted to do what I felt was a world I can be myself truly and work with other like minded individuals.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart has always been my individuality and passion; I think just being true to myself alone has set me apart and it’s helped a lot! Of course it just depends who’s looking hahaha not everyone can handle t honesty and how direct I can be. I will say having a positive, optimistic or just great attitude all around goes far in life regardless of work or not. I would say 98% of what happens and how you handle it is all based on your attitude. At the end of the day, you can be the very best at your position/title but if you’re not a pleasant person to work with, no one will want to work with you.
Nothing in life is easy, you can’t change my mind about that bcz if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. People tend to forget that you do have to put in work and sacrifices to be where you want to be based on your own expectations. What makes things easier I suppose would be how much drive the person has or willingness to learn as much as they can without having an ego.
Biggest lesson I’ve learned? Realizing all good things come with a price. I didn’t know how bad my mental health was till it was consuming me completely, destroying the self love I had and the people I loved. To finally address it, face it and work on it has helped heal my soul. If you had told me my mental state would be on the line, I’d still take a chance and see what happens.
…I want people to just continue believing in themselves and to chase their dreams/goals no matter what it is, just go out and do it. It’s easier said than done but you just have to believe you can do it. People will always get in the way or give you doubt, but don’t allow that negativity! Don’t forget, you already did that thing you want or need to do, you just have to catch up to that version of yourself. Believe me. We’re all living different versions of ourselves at the same time. Keep your head high and middle fingers Higher!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
…if people came to visit me who genuinely wanted to hang out; we’d definitely go on coffee runs a lot lol it’s a great way to sit down and talk about anything and everything without any sort of outside distraction. I’m a very go with the flow kind of person as I’ve learned that having expectations can lead to disappointments, so it’s better to take the day as it comes, now a days for anyone to truly give you their time is the only human genuine connection you can have with another individual. In a perfect world; there’s no traffic where we go, less people, maybe somewhere in nature in another country, having a coffee during a sunrise and sitting there comfortably in silence with someone who also wants to share that peace.
The most exciting people will always be the people who aren’t afraid to be themselves. Open minded individuals, Travelers and Risk takers are also a fun bunch to meet! :))
The most exciting thing anyone can do is honestly Travel! Travel! Travel! Go where you find yourself either exploring or potentially living, go to that place you just have a need to visit! I believe we’re meant to find pieces of ourselves that were scattered throughout the world and it’s up to us to and find ourselves once again! I think this alone will prepare us for what may lie ahead…whatever that may be! Cheers!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
…This shoutout is for those who believed in me and my potential from the start. Anyone who truly saw me for me, I thank you so much for helping pave my path or showed me the bridges I needed to cross. A lot of my success is because you all believed me and I can’t thank you enough! <333
I will say; None of this would matter if love wasn’t the main motivator from the start and this person knows they were always the light and inspiration that really got me through some of darkest times and sacrifices i needed to make. In the end; if it isn’t for love whether it comes from self love or an individual that makes the days feel less dark when we know how the world can really look, then what’s the point…of…any of this?!?…
