Meet Arina Sprynz | Designer of Sound Systems made out of Glass

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arina Sprynz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arina, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea for Rinz Sound came from a passion for merging art with cutting-edge audio technology. I wanted to create something unique for luxury homes—high-end sound systems that are also beautiful design pieces, so that vision led to the creation of Rinz Sound, the first company to manufacture Hi-Fi speakers made from toughened glass.

These speakers are not just about exceptional sound quality; they are also about making a statement. Each speaker is hand-made in Great Britain using patented technology. The toughened glass and organic resin design give them a stunning, stalagmite-like appearance, making them both durable and visually striking. With a power handling of 150W per channel, they offer top-notch performance.

The goal was to develop a product that combines art and high-fidelity audio. Rinz Sound speakers are perfect for luxury homes, offering a unique blend of beauty and functionality.

Combining technology, sound, and glass has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. It took months of working in sound labs alongside sound engineers to develop the excellent sound reproduction qualities of our products. I am proud to share that Rinz Sound has produced the world’s first sound systems made from toughened glass.

Navigating a male-dominated industry, I often found it difficult to be taken seriously. However, with unwavering determination and support from mentors and colleagues, I overcame these challenges and pushed forward with my vision. The result is a unique blend of art and technology that stands out in the market.

Nevertheless, the success of Rinz Sound has earned me a recognition as a guest speaker at the European Parliament, one of the Top 20 Female Entrepreneurs in London, a Smarta Awards Top 100 Small UK Business honouree, and a personal invitation of David Cameron, formed Prime Minister of The United Kingdom, to 10 Downing Street.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I would craft an itinerary that perfectly blends culture, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. As an art and design enthusiast, our first stop would be The Broad Museum, with its fascinating collection of contemporary art and the brilliant Yayoi Kusama installation.

We’d then head to AVRA in Beverly Hills for dinner, enjoying Greek cuisine and a perfect ambiance for making new connections. The next day, we’d explore the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, known for its transformational art selections, and stroll around Rodeo Drive.

A day in Malibu would follow, relaxing by the famous shores and dining at a beachfront restaurant and on our final day would start with a leisurely brunch and some last-minute shopping, followed by a night drive on Mulholland Drive to overlook sleepy LA with its picturesque views—an experience that’s truly priceless.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Being a female entrepreneur in a male-dominated industry has indeed been challenging, but I have found tremendous inspiration and support along the way. One person who has been particularly inspiring is Lady Michelle Mone. Recognized as one of the UK’s most renowned entrepreneurs, she has applied her impressive business acumen across various sectors and her success and determination have been a significant source of motivation for me.

Mentorship plays a crucial role in any entrepreneurial journey, and I’ve been fortunate to receive valuable guidance from mentors who have helped shape my path. Additionally, my university extended a helping hand in developing the technology and building my speaker collection. Their support was instrumental in turning my vision for Rinz Sound into a reality.

These influences and supports have been pivotal in my journey, and I am deeply grateful for their contributions to my success.
