We had the good fortune of connecting with Arsenii Savitckii and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arsenii, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I have no balance in my life, if I do something usually I go all in – it can be a curse or a blessing or both sometimes, but I accepted it recently,, accepted who I am and started to build the right routine around it, so I can be more useful for my self and for the people eventually.
for example: I’m a night person and when most of the people think about dinner and bed around 9pm – this is when my mind becomes very active, so now in the morning, I try to wake up early, shut the curtains make myself a night and start to work on my projects in dark room. I works quite well so far.
or if I know that usually when I pick up the cell phone to answer the message, I would go to a rabbit hole of other social media etc, so now I don’t turn on the cell phone until I really need it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well if it were easy I might lost interest long time ago..
A few things I realized one is to be truthful to yourself and embrace your real you in everything you do – people can feel it, that you care and can relate to it. Second would be don’t think about outcome just enjoy the process it’s all we really have and have control of
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would go straight to downtown, actually it was the first place that I visited when I came to LA long time ago. I grow up watching American movies and to me it looks very cinematic, there is some magic in it. I even lived there for a few years some time ago.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Lately I picked up this habit of reading and a few books helped me to stay focused on my path, believe in myself and don’t compare with others – we all have a unique path and only I can be me and only you can be you!
These 3 books helped me a lot during hard times: “Chasing the light” by Oliver Stone, “green light” by Matthew McConaughey and “The creative act: a way of being” by Rick Rubin.
