Meet Arty Furtado | Concert Organiser & Music Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arty Furtado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arty, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Giving up is not an option. To keep going is tough, sometimes it may seem impossible. But there are so many more reasons to keep going than there are to give up, so long as the thing that you are doing is something that you truly care about. If there is a will, there is a way.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always been an artist at heart, which allows me to always operate with an ‘artist first’ mentality. When I first moved to New York, the shows I was getting booked for were quite frankly garbage. I then simply decided to take it upon myself to throw a solid party in which a few fellow artists would perform alongside me. It turned out to be the best show I’ve ever performed.
Since then, I began organising more and more events. What allows me to stand out is the fact that I understand what the artist wants to experience, but I also know what the fans want to see when they go out to party or to an event. This allows me to create an experience that works great for both sides.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to all of the concerts that I’d be working on that week. On top of that, a few rooftop bars and restaurants. A few walks in some of the massive NY parks.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom!
