Meet Ash

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ash and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ash, how do you think about risk?
For me, risk is proof that I am climbing the stairs to the next stage. Some people call it a risk, while others call it an opportunity. Depending on whether you are afraid or enjoy it, the name risk turns into opportunity.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In my youth, I was focused on sports. I excelled in gymnastics and basketball. I was a state champion in my hometown. I also worked as a model growing up. I wasn’t exposed to a lot of music growing up. It enabled me to think outside of the box and develop my own style.

I worked very hard to teach myself music for three years.I studied eighteen hours a day regardless of any holiday or occasion. In the first year, it was certainly a challenge to find clients and talented artists. Over time others started to recognize my talent.

“Is this really complete?” Could it be done better?” These are the questions I ask myself. I have always tried to push myself beyond my own limits by asking myself these questions. I think it was the impetus for what happens next.

Regardless of the assignment, whether its a major label or an indie project. I always treat each project with the same level of dedication and creativity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend sightseeing around the city during the day. In the evening, I would take my friend to a nice restaurant to have lamb chops and wine.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My music roots stem from gospel music. I would like to thank the church for their encouragement and support. I would like to extend my gratitude to my friends and family for their support.
