We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Baca and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
When I first started pursuing acting and Comedy I had little balance and was on a strict grind. Overtime I realized that self care is just as important as pursuing your dreams.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I never thought I would pursue Stand up Comedy, but I felt like I had to try it once. Once I tried I was addicted. It’s one of the hardest creative things I’ve pursued. I struggle with stand up on a daily basis. But it turned out to be super rewarding as far as continuously having work and meeting other inspiring creatives along the way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would drive my friend down to Malibu have a beautiful brunch at Geoffery’s then head to the beach and lay out. Then I would head back to the city and get dressed up for a nice dinner at Wally’s in Beverly Hills finishing the day with Cocktails on the rooftop of Waldorf Astoria.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my sister Aryssa Baca. She always pushes me to be my best ad calls me out when I am overthinking.
