Hi Ashley, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I founded Us Branding You with a deep-rooted passion for starting my own marketing agency, a dream I had nurtured for years. However, I continuously found reasons to delay taking the plunge. With the unexpected loss of my job during the Covid pandemic, I realized that there would never be a more opportune moment than the present to turn my aspirations into reality. I began reaching out to various businesses, offering my expertise in social media management, content creation, ad campaigns, and influencer management. My primary goal was to create personalized packages that catered precisely to the unique needs of each client. Unlike many agencies that present tiers of services with no wiggle room, I wanted to ensure that my clients received maximum value from my offerings and felt content and satisfied with the services they were investing in. This mindset set me apart from the competition and resonated with the brands I worked with.
The driving force behind my venture wasn’t just a love for marketing and brand growth, but also a deep desire to create an agency that felt personal and authentic. I believe in fostering genuine connections with my clients, understanding their objectives, and guiding them towards success. Us Branding You is not just about marketing strategies; it’s about building meaningful relationships and witnessing brands flourish under my dedicated care.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Us Branding You is not just another marketing agency; it is a passionate endeavor to serve clients’ needs at any cost, from inception to fruition. The inspiration behind its creation stemmed from the realization that many agencies offer inflexible packages at exorbitant costs, burdening clients with deliverables they may not even require. To break this norm, I vowed to create packages tailored precisely to my clients’ unique needs and budgets, a rarity in the industry. The journey to establishing Us Branding You has been far from easy, but it has been unbelievably rewarding. Behind the scenes, I’m working an average of 15-hour days, seven days a week, even during travel or vacations. There are no days off for me, as my clients’ prosperity is intricately tied to mine, and I firmly believe in ensuring they receive unmatched care and support.
What I want the world to know about my story is that you can truly do anything you set your mind to. Don’t let fear hold you back from creating something exceptional. If you’re passionate about something then you’re going to succeed and it’s the most rewarding feeling. You really learn a lot about yourself when you’re pushed in a corner and forced to make large decisions and no matter what happens you can be proud of what you have accomplished.

The brand stands as a testament to the genuine relationships I have nurtured, the meaningful impact I have made, and the legacy I am building for the future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is one of the greatest cities in the world and I’m so happy to call this place home. I’m located in West Hollywood so I spend a lot of time there and Beverly Hills. Lunch at Wally’s or II Pastaio is an absolute must. If you’re looking for coffee recommendations Alfred is a classic or Maru! Get the cream top coffee from Maru and thank me later. It’s seriously one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Lavo is one of my favorite spots for dinner in West Hollywood. Fleur Room is right next door and is a really fun place to go to for late night drinks with friends. One of my favorite things to do in Los Angeles is go to the beach with friends. I would say lunch at Elephante in Santa Monica and then a beach day after would be one of the most ideal days for me.
