Meet Ashlynn Cheung: Wedding Planner and Event Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlynn Cheung and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashlynn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly, I just knew I wanted to start my own business, I wanted to show the world, anyone is able to reach their goals and dreams once you put your hard work, willingness, trust, and care in what you want. I wanted to inspire others to want to achieve their goals and dreams, from opening a small business, to opening a big business. Whichever one anyone chooses it is considered a huge WIN, because whoever I inspired, chose to go towards that direction in what makes them happy in their goals and dream. Behind why I started my event planning business, I am a type of person that loves the beautiful outcome of each event, and how it makes each client feel when they see the final outcome. I love making my clients dream event into a reality. My passion and thoughtfulness is a huge factor in my business in building a relationship with each client and vendor to make sure the event is successful and beautiful.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, is a wedding and event planning business. Where I as the event planner collaborates with the clients and vendors in making the clients dream event into a reality. I love collaborating with different vendors to see what their work/art is. Brainstorming together in making our clients event the most memorable event they have ever dreamed of. Communication and trust is key in my business and as a leader. All vendors are looking up to the event planner to understand what and where the vendor needs to know for the client, I am not just a event planner for the event, I am also a leader of a team for that special day. Being an wedding and event planner does have its ups and downs, but I am always learning new things everyday. Since I started my business its been a adventure, from learning how detailed a timeline needs to be to building your own website and so much more. My brand AshlynnEvents isn’t just for planning events and weddings, its also coordinating everything, building a relationship and having trust in AshlynnEvents wants to make your dream event into a reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I would for sure take them to Disneyland because it is my favorite and happiest place on earth! We would grab some coffee before heading out there. Listen to some 2000s Disney Channel music and get ourselves pumped up for the best day ever! Spend the whole day at Disney, enjoy churros, macaroons, lobster nachos and drinks from Lamphouse Lounge at California Adventures. Take a ton of photos, and go on all the rides! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a huge shoutout to Bryiana Drydek, she has been my mentor since 2017. I had gone to a huge event hosted by Byriana and since that event it has changed my life and mindset in what I want to do in my life, my goals, and my dreams. She has not just helped me, but she pushed me further into achieving my goals and dreams. I would like to thank her for pushing me further, and being my mentor!
