We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbra Stover and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Barbra, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and brand is the 18 years of experience in the real estate industry. I overcame many obstacles and celebrated many victories. I have learned to listen to my clients’ wants and needs. My passion for real estate has never diminished in the last few years. As a matter of fact, my passion for real estate has multiplied in various ways. With the current pandemic crises, I now have learned to switch gears and go back to the basic routine skills which is calling past and current clients, emailing buyers and sellers, using social media for my branding, and getting involved as a guest speaker for different webinar sessions. Showing homes in a different way has become an obstacle; however, my strength will be stronger and my branding will become even more valuable. I love and really care for my clients. If you love what you do then success will follow!

What should our readers know about your business?
I always loved luxury homes and the process of buying and selling. Most of all, I love helping my clients move on to their next chapter in life. When you work with clients looking for a home or selling, it may take months; therefore, you become part of their lives. I am not just a realtor, I am their therapist, friend, advisor, and most of all I help make their dreams come true! Each time we close a deal, I feel the relief in their eyes, and this is what I love most about my job. Of course we have challenges and obstacles we must overcome with most deals in terms if negotiations, repairs, etc.. I have learned to listen not only to my clients when it comes to challenges, but I listen to my team. What sets me apart is my experience, knowledge, marketing strategy and negotiation skills. I am part of a great luxury team at Compass with Aaron Kirman Group in Beverly Hills. The most prestigious and #1 team in Beverly Hills.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was visiting me for a week we would start with breakfast at my favorite place in Marina del Rey called J.Nichols. They have the best omelets. Then, we would grab our beach attire and dash off to Fisherman’s Village in Marina del Rey and have some fun on the water with Marina del Rey Boat Rentals. Self-explore the harbor and beyond by kayak, paddleboard, sailboat, motor boat, electric Duffy boat, or jet ski. Then dinner at one of many restaurants in the Marina. Maybe sushi at Sugar Fish! Next day we would go to Disneyland and spend at least a few days with Mickey. Then end up in Beverly Hills for some elegant shopping and dinner at Spago or Avra.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give a Shoutout to my mentors: Diane Sharp, Syd Leibovitch, John Gould, Aaron Kirman, and most of all my husband Michael. They all have been a huge part of my success. I thank all of them dearly.
