We had the good fortune of connecting with Beau Clarke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beau, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Writing is what I love doing and the thought of doing that for a living is fulfilling.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hardwork and passion. The hardest part about being a writer is dealing with rejection. But if you really love the craft, then that love can pull you through your rejection, regardless of whether the career works out or not.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Either to the Channel Islands or up North. LA is really fun. But california has one of the most unique and complete landscapes in the country. Not seeing the kelp forests or the redwoods or classic surf breaks, for me, is missing the best parts of the state.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Kris Young, screenwriting professor at UCLA, for all his encouragement. My parents and friends.
